How Data Is Encrypted in MediQo

All data processed through MediQo is encrypted using robust, industry-standard cryptographic protocols.

Data is encrypted:

  • In transit, using secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols

  • At rest, using advanced encryption standards (AES)

Encryption in transit ensures that when data moves between your clinical system, MediQo’s processing environment, and authorised users, it cannot be intercepted or read by unauthorised third parties. Even if network traffic were compromised, encrypted data would remain unreadable.

Encryption at rest ensures that stored data within MediQo’s infrastructure is protected from unauthorised access at the storage level. This adds an additional layer of defence against breaches or infrastructure-level threats.

Encryption applies to:

  • Clinical documentation and consultation notes

  • AI-generated outputs and reports

  • User credentials and authentication data

  • Integration data flows between MediQo and PMS/EHR systems

Importantly, encryption is implemented automatically and continuously. There is no requirement for clinicians or administrators to manually enable encryption features.

For healthcare organisations, this means patient data remains protected across every stage of processing; from AI-assisted documentation through to integration with your clinical software. Encryption is a baseline requirement in modern healthcare IT, and MediQo treats it as non-negotiable.
