Access MBS Suggestions
During a patient consultation, locate the MBS Suggestion panel on the right-hand side of the screen. This panel displays recommended item numbers based on the consultation context.
Verify Item Details
To view the official government schedule for a specific item, click directly on the suggested Item Number link. This will open the Medicare Benefits Schedule online in a new browser tab.
View Recommendation Rationale
For a detailed breakdown of why a specific item was suggested, click the View button within the suggestion card. This opens a summary containing the primary recommendation rationale, clinical matching, and co-billing opportunities.
Update Your Qualifications
To ensure suggestions are tailored to your specific role (e.g., VR GP, Nurse Practitioner, or Registrar), you must configure your profile.
Click the Update qualifications button in the top right corner of the MBS panel.
Select all qualifications that apply to you from the list.
Click Save.
